Who Are We?

For our first blog post, we think it only appropriate to introduce ourselves!  While you can find the basics in the “About Us” page, here we’ll explain what we think is unique about our partnership.

We first met in 2013 while working at a residential interior design firm in Charleston, SC.  While we handled different aspects of the design business, we worked together in the day to day.  It didn’t take long to become friends and develop, what we refer to as, “mind melding” capabilities.  Our strong friendship and ability to work as a team is the base of our relationship.

Our backgrounds include experience in Residential, Commercial, and Hospitality Design.  Jamie brings experience in Design, General Contracting, Project Management, and Business Management.  Melissa brings experience in Design, Custom Cabinetry/Furniture, Project Management, and AutoCAD/Rendering.  We feel the 20+ years each of these skills combined brings a lot to the table and sets us apart from our design competitors.

We created Haven Interior Design as our “Haven.”  A place where we can create and dream in a fun and supportive environment.  We love when our clients share this passion and we adore creating unique havens for them as well.
